HAMTRAMCK GOODFELLOWS PAPER SALE IS FRIDAY DECEMBER 2, 2011! Greetings and welcome to the 2011 Holiday Season! The Christmas season is fast approaching and with it comes family celebrations and friendly dinners. It is also this time of year that we remember those of us that are less fortunate and in need of help. The Hamtramck Goodfellows have been serving this community for over 97 years. Each year around this time, people from all walks of life join the “old newsboys” network and collect donations to pay for holiday meals for those in need. Many of the beneficiaries of Goodfellows holiday meals are children and the elderly. Never since James Brady founded the Goodfellows in 1914 have we had more need to help our fellow man. This year your help will make sure we fulfill our promise of “No Child Without a Christmas.” Volunteers are the backbone of the Goodfellows organization. Your generous donation is the foundation of our work. We would like to extend our sincere thanks for your past support and invite you to join the Goodfellows for our collection drive this year. The drive begins Friday, December 2, 2011 and continues throughout the month of December. Every dollar collected is spent right here in our community.
